Successful completion of this course renews your California Rigger Level 1 designation for another 2 years. You must have passed the AMC&S Rigger Level 1 course to be eligible to renew your designation. And be within the 30-day grace period.
NOTE: New regulations went into effect on December 17, 2022 - under ASME B30.5-3.1.2.2 Qualified Riggers (“Certified”) are required when working with any type of Mobile Crane including Crawler Cranes, Locomotive Cranes, Wheeled Cranes and any variations of cranes that retain the same fundamental characteristics of 1 ton or more. Qualified Riggers must pass written and practical examinations (“Certified”). So, if you are involved with rigging for one of the above-mentioned cranes, you should proceed to our Cal/OSHA Title 8 Certified Rigger Level 1 course.
Following completion of this course the student may choose to take the
Cal/OSHA Certified Rigger Level 1 Exam to earn the designation of a Cal/OSHA Certified Rigger Level 1 which would fulfill the requirements of ASME B30.5-2021 and OSHA 5-3.1.2.2 Qualifications for Riggers.
