Our Maryland Title 9 Certified Rigger Level 1 Course includes the 5-6 hour self-paced, online, multi-media course covering OSHA, ASME and Maryland Title 9 regulations, the use and inspection of slings, rigging hardware, load weight and other areas critical to understanding and operating a safe job site. It also includes the 1-2 hour Certified Rigger Level 1 Written and Practical Examinations to certify you to the new ASME B30.5-3.1.2.2 -2021 and Maryland 9-12.26 Qualifications for Riggers. Please note – The Practical portion of the exam must be proctored by us. You will given instructions to call to set up this proctoring session that will be held via Zoom.

NOTE: New regulations went into effect on December 17, 2022 - under ASME B30.5-3.1.2.2 Qualified Riggers (“Certified”) are required when working with any type of Mobile Crane including Crawler Cranes, Locomotive Cranes, Wheeled Cranes and any variations of cranes that retain the same fundamental characteristics of 1 ton or more. Qualified Riggers must pass written and practical examinations (“Certified”).

Please note: Although ASME defines this person a Qualified Rigger, OSHA and the Maryland Department of Labor are very clear that the employer is the only one that can determine if you are qualified to perform the rigging activities at hand.
